The Municipal Art Gallery is inviting families to have a picnic on the Barnsdall Art Park lawn, Tuesday July 17 from 11-1 pm. After lunch, the gallery will offer free admission to the museum and take families on a free tour of the Made in L.A. 2012 exhibition.
"Made in L.A. 2012" is a collaboration between LAX Art at Culver City, Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery and Hammer at UCLA and it features 60 artists that currently live and work in L.A. Many of the pieces incorporate materials found around the area, as well as responding to ideas about the character of Los Angeles, how people conceptualize it and the different cultures that make it up.
