Québec in Hollywood invites you on a journey to the electrifying realm of Fashion & Opéra. On September 22nd the spring and summer 2012 collections from Montréal's most acclaimed designers will take to the stage for a production headed by Groupe Sensation Mode, and set against a backdrop of live performances by Opéra de Montréal.

Interweaving fashion, progressive house sounds, modern opera, pop video art and contemporary stage costume design, Fashion & Opéra explores a mixed landscape of sights, sounds and urban sensations from the world's second largest French-speaking city – and unquestionably one of its most fashion savvy.

This one-night runway event will take place in the open-air central courtyard of the landmark Hollywood & Highland Center, right in the heart of Hollywood.

In bringing Fashion & Opéra to the stage, Groupe Sensation Mode has teamed up with top names from Montréal's thriving art and music scenes including Montréal's 'Godfather of House', DJ Christian Pronovost and lead soloists from Opéra de Montréal, performing against a shifting video canvas created by legendary Montréal street artist Zïlon. This evocative glimpse into the 2012 future of fashion is presented in overlay with the art of operatic costume design, as part of a crossover homage created especially for Québec in Hollywood by fashion stylists Yso and Sophie Lanza.
