County OKs Restroom Redos for Hollywood Bowl

Board of Supervisors approves $3 million in funding to improve venue's bathrooms.

Funding for improvements to the bathrooms at the Hollywood Bowl received the green light Tuesday from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.

The $3 million project will revise restroom layouts, replace plumbing fixtures and generally aim to make bathroom breaks more pleasant for concert goers, according to Supervisor Zev Yaroslovsky's blog.

Final design planning is in progress. Elements of that plan include waterless urinals, Dyson hand dryers, green floors along with white, black and stainless steel interiors.

The supervisors’ action Tuesday will allow the Philharmonic Association to obtain funding for the project while the design is finalized.

The money for the project will come from Proposition A park improvement funds.
