Traffic Alert: Prince William and Kate's Royal Visit and 'West Side Story' Premiere

Prepare for delays around Hollywood on Friday and Saturday evening.

Passing through the Hollywood Bowl or Hancock Park this weekend? You may want to give yourself extra time getting around town or take an alternate route.

In neighboring Hancock Park, Britain's Prince William and his wife Duchess Catherine are staying at the British consul general's residence during their three-day Southern California visit. The couple arrive in Los Angeles Friday afternoon.

Security will be tight around the consul-general's Hancock Park residence on June Street, where the couple will be staying, reported City News Service. The street will be closed between Fourth and Sixth avenues, but royal-watchers are expected to gather nearby in hopes of catching a glimpse of the royal couple. People who get too close — notably paparazzi — will find themselves running afoul of the law. The Los Angeles Police Department plans to crack down on anyone roaming into the area without permission.
