Molly's Hamburger Stand to Close Thursday

The lunch counter, which is shutting down reportedly due to a new development project, will offer $3 meal deals on its last day serving customers in Hollywood.

, a favorite among those who live or work in Hollywood, will say goodbye to the neighborhood Thursday, offering meal deals for $3.

The hamburger stand is located on property that is slated to be developed into a 124,000-square-foot commercial office building.

According to Eater LA, owner Kwok Yi was in negotiations to settle for $1.1 million, and Molly's was only recently given notice to vacate.

The Yi family, who has operated the stand for the last 13 years, will donate all revenue on June 30 to support Social Services at Blessed Sacrament Inc., an organization that helps place homeless people in permanent housing and offers showers, clothing and food.

Thursday's deal includes a choice of cheeseburger, chili cheeseburger or a hamburger with fries and a drink for $3. The restaurant is at 1605 Vine St.
