Hollywood Tour Buses Tipping the Scales

Police are citing the sightseeing vehicles for carrying too much weight on residential streets, the LA Times reports.

"Overfilled tour buses feel the weight of the law," according to a headline on a Los Angeles Times story that reports police are citing overweight vehicles driving on residential streets in celebrity-filled neighborhoods.

Police who size up these vehicles and find that they are more than 6,000 pounds—the limit in neighborhoods with posted signs—are citing drivers for violating city code.

The Times follows the experience of one driver who received a citation.
