How long have you worked here at ? Almost a year.

Do you like working here? I do. It’s a great job. The people here are nice that I work with, and our customers are nice. A lot of tourists, but a lot of locals too. People tend to think of Hollywood people as crazy, but really they’re not that different from people in Ohio. They’re friendly and the food here is really good, so people are happy.

Besides working here at Skooby’s, what do you do? I’m a screenwriter. I write for movies and TV.

Any current projects? I’ve been working with friends on two Web series. One is called “Deader Days,” a zombie comedy. The other is called “Duhmfownd.” It’s kind of like Curb Your Enthusiasm, about a group of professionals here in Los Angeles who have to overcome the simplest of obstacles often in very unusual ways.

Do you live in Hollywood also? Yes, I do. On Lanewood, near . So I can walk to work, which is nice.

What do you think of Hollywood? I love it here. I want to write for movies, so this is the best place in the world to be and it’s always interesting. I love movies and movie history; the Chinese Theatre, the Egyptian. I like when I walk to work and see movies being shot, and TV shows. All of Hollywood is like one big set. There’s always shoots going on. They were shooting the just down from here last week and a Wonder Woman movie at the El Capitan.

And I like walking past the Oscars [at the Kodak Theatre] every day.

What’s the hardest part of being a screenwriter? Getting funding.
