Health Fair Planned at Autry Farmers Market

"Fit 'n' Fun" will include free fitness programs and activities, health screenings and more.

The Autry Farmers Market is hosting a free health and wellness fair at this Saturday's weekly gathering.

The "Fit 'n' Fun" health fair includes activities for kids, outdoor games, yoga, bootcamps, free gifts, prizes and more from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Councilman Tom LaBonge and Assemblymember Mike Feuer are among the sponsors of the free fair open to the community.

There will be anemia, glucose, blood pressure, HIV/AIDS and STD screenings as well as BMI testing. 

Free information includes "Ask a Doctor" general physicians booth, bike and helmet safety, CalFresh, Healthy Kids Programs, Medi-Cal, Senior/Disability Services, WIC sign-up, Breast Cancer Awareness, Healthy Lung Awareness, Health Literacy, mammogram appointments and more.

The market, organized by LA City Farm, is located at The Autry, 4700 Western Heritage Way.
