Why go: There's something for everybody when you bring the family to this fun festival. Kids love to run from truck to truck figuring out what food they love to eat while mom and dad enjoy music with plenty of bargains thrown in. For more information call 323-654-0442.

Why go: This darling all pink and black blow dry bar is sure to be a hit with all the females in the family, but they do offer men's services as well. Mom and daughter days are encouraged. There are no scissors or color just curling irons, pumping products, extensions and of course, blow dryers. The music is loud and there's plenty to do in the neighborhood once everybody is beautified.
Price: Blowouts are $33. For 12 and under, $21.
Where/When: Petco- 508 N. Doheny, West Hollywood, Saturday 1 - 4 p.m.
Why go: If you are thinking about bringing home a pet, why not choose an animal from this group that does a lot of great work. It's fun to go by and see the dogs and cats too. The website gives lots of helpful advice to help you decide if your family is ready for a new addition. A little side note: TMZ's Harvey Levin recorded Frank Sinatra's My Way with Paul Anka and will donate 50 percent of the proceeds to this organization.

RedCat International Children's Film Festival
Where/When: Roy & Edna Disney Calarts Theater 631 W. 2nd St, Los Angeles March 26 through April 17. Saturday, March 26, Film Fest and Sunday, March 27, Nick Family Fun Day.
Why go: This is a great event to expose the family to short films from all over the world. There are programs for "tiny tots" and older kids. Part of the program is the Nick Family Fun Day. For more information call 213-237-2800.
Price: $5 per screening.
Where/When: 166o N. Highland Ave., Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Why go: With Elizabeth Taylor's passing this week, it's a reminder that our beloved Hollywood stars won't be with us forever. Why not share some history and make some memories with your family at the Hollywood Museum this weekend? The museum is larger than others with 35,000-square-feet and many floors of deco artifacts, memorabilia and wax figures.
Price: $15 Adults, $12 for seniors and kids under 12.
