'Burn the Floor' Opens at the Pantages Tonight

Show opens: Burn the Floor, a theatrical production featuring champion ballroom dancers, opens at the Pantages Theatre today. A gala event will be held tonight. Shows will continue through May 8. Neighborhood meeting: The Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council committee charged with reviewing the Draft Hollywood Community Plan will meet at 4 p.m. at Boardner’s by LaBelle. Stakeholders with input to offer on the plan may fill out a speaker card and address the committee during the meeting.

Book talk: Join Mark A. Vieira and Darrell Rooney at Larry Edmunds Bookshop as they discuss and sign their new book, Harlow in Hollywood: The Blonde Bombshell in the Glamour Capital, 1928-1937 at 7 p.m. The book includes more than 280 photos and showcases where actress Jean Harlow lived, worked and played.
