Beware of Dense Fog Friday Morning

A National Weather Service advisory includes Hollywood in its list of communities anticipated to experience heavy fog Friday.

Prepare for dense fog if you plan on driving in Hollywood tonight and Friday through mid-morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory for the Los Angeles County coast and some inland areas that include Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Malibu, Long Beach and downtown Los Angeles.

Some areas of dense fog will have visibilities of a quarter-mile or less, according to the advisory. The dense fog is expected to lift by mid-morning Friday.

If driving, slow down, use your headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Fog can also make road surfaces slick so avoid speeding.
