Arclight Cinemas Documentary Film Festival Set for October

The annual event will feature the work of 25 documentary filmmakers.

Arclight Cinemas is preparing to host its third annual "ArcLight Cinemas Documentary Film Festival."

The event, which takes place next month, aims to give a platform to independent filmmakers interested in documenting true stories.

Billing itself as the largest documentary film festival in Los Angeles, the ArcLight Cinemas Documentary Film Festival received more than 250 film submissions this year, its highest number, according to festival officials.

"ArcLight Cinemas is about the celebration of film and we are ecstatic that the festival continues to grow and thrive in a city that has long been the epicenter for incredible storytelling,” Gretchen McCourt, executive vice president of cinema programming, said.
