A Free Way to Go to the Hollywood Bowl

Open rehearsals of the L.A. Philharmonic are on tap this summer.

If you've been looking for the opportunity to see a performance at the Hollywood Bowl without paying for a ticket, now's your chance.

The Bowl is offering locals this summer a chance to sit in on rehearsals of the Los Angeles Philharmonic for free.

Rehearsals usually take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, "the open rehearsals change weekly," so it's best to check with the Philharmonic office on Mondays, said Rachel West, marketing assistant with the L.A. Philharmonic.

Those who take advantage of viewing the free rehearsals can also tote along their own snacks, according to West.

The open rehearsals are generally scheduled to take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will last through August, West said.

For more information about the concerts scheduled for this summer season, call (323)850-2000, or visit the Hollywood Bowl online.
