911 Dispatch Center Holds Open House Friday

Meet your first responders: In honor of National Dispatchers Week, which is observed April 10 - April 15, LAPD’s Metropolitan Communications Dispatch Center at 100 North Los Angeles St. will be open to the public on Friday. Guided tours will be conducted throughout the day and into the evening. Refreshments will be provided. See where your 911 calls are routed, learn about what it takes to be a dispatcher, and get your questions answered. Sunday kickback: Tender Greens Hollywood will be hosting a Whole Animal Roast and Beer Garden on their back patio on April 24. The monthly event features a different animal and a guest brewer.
