Tips for Parkinson's Sufferers During This Holiday Season

Navigating through life can be tough on a normal day, but during the holiday seasons, it can be a bit more chaotic than usual.  So here are some suggestions from the APDA for Parkinson's sufferers to ease some of the overwhelming stress despite some of your limitations.

Due to their disease, there is a strong temptation for Parkinson's sufferers to isolate themselves socially.  While they may not want to face your loved ones with their degenerative disease during gatherings, judgement would not be negative, and loved ones would provide the support you need during the holidays and beyond.

Health problems should be taken care of as well.  Just because a person is going through Parkinson's, it doesn't mean one should just let go and ignore maintaining their physical health.  During the holiday gatherings, eat and drink moderately, keep exercising during this season, and keep a positive attitude.  If Parkinson's patients can keep these in mind, then they are well on their way toward a joyous Christmas and holiday season!
