Two LAPD Officers Injured in Hollywood Traffic Collision

The pair were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Two Los Angeles Police Department officers were injured in a traffic collision Tuesday afternoon and taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to Cecil Manresa, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The officers were in a four-car accident shortly before 3 p.m. at 6260 Santa Monica Boulevard but were the only ones who were injured.

Manresa said he was uncertain whether the officers were responding to the scene of an emergency or not.

Richard French, an LAPD spokesman, noted that a robbery suspect had been apprehended at a local elementary school nearby the scene of the accident around the same time the collision occurred after robbing a nearby fast food restaurant.

He said he did not know for sure if the officers were responding to the scene of that crime or not.
