Men Sought in Sexual Assault at Hollywood Parking Structure

Police said a woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted in an early Sunday morning incident.

Detectives are searching for a group of five men suspected in the sexual assault of a woman in Hollywood early Sunday morning.

A woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted around 3 a.m. in a parking structure in the 1400 block of Ivar Avenue by two men in the group, said Officer Karen Rayner of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The parking structure serves the Arclight, 24 Hour Fitness and several restaurants nearby.

The woman, who had became separated from her group, was found in the parking structure by friends who called for help, Rayner said.

The woman was taken to a hospital, treated and released.

Rayner said investigators found a vehicle believed to be used in the crime and it was taken into police custody. Detectives are reviewing surveillance video from the area for evidence and to identify the suspects involved.

An LAPD statement said the attack "appears to be an isolated incident and should not cause the community to be overly alarmed."
