LAPD Hollywood to Host Anti-Bullying Forum

Tips and information will be provided on how to identify, address and prevent bullying Monday.

The Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Division is hosting an anti-bullying community forum Monday night.

The forum, held in honor of October as National Bullying Prevention Month, will be held 6-8 p.m. at the Hollywood Palladium, 6215 Sunset Blvd.

Speakers will provide information on how to identify, address and prevent bullying, cyberspace dangers, cyber bullying, text bullying and social media bullying on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and MySpace.

  • Los Angeles Police Commissioner Robert Saltzman
  • Cpt. Beatrice Girmala, LAPD Commanding Officer,
  • Hollywood Division Detective Martin Pinedo, LAPD Stop Hate and Respect Each Other Program
  • Los Angeles City Attorney Senior Trial Deputy, Tracy Webb, Cyber Crime & Child Abuse Prosecution Division, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force
  • Stephanie Varela, award winning student artist “Shattered Esteem”
  • Max Gouttebroze, Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation
