LA Marathon Street Closures in Hollywood and Beyond

Several roads in Hollywood will be closed to make way for thousands of racers.

Runners in the 26th annual Los Angeles Marathon will make their way through the heart of Hollywood on Sunday, that means several streets in the community and neighboring cities will be closed.

The street closures will take place as early as 3:15 a.m., with most streets expected to reopen by 3 p.m. The marathon begins at 6:55 a.m. for wheelchairs, 7 a.m. for hand cycles and 7:24 a.m. for all other participants.

The race starts at Dodger Stadium and finishes near the Santa Monica Pier. Below are the planned street closures. Roads closed in Hollywood are in boldface.

Hollywood residents should also take note of the planned path for race participants. According to the official turn by turn directions, marathoners will race through a 3.5 mile portion in Hollywood:

Racers enter the community at its eastern border on Hollywood Boulevard, make a left on Orange Drive, then a right onto Sunset Boulevard and make their way into West Hollywood.
