Danny DeVito to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

The actor will receive the honor at a ceremony Thursday morning.

Danny DeVito, star of the classic television series Taxi and cult-comedy hit It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, will receive the 2,445 star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday.

The ceremony for his star, awarded in the category of television, will be unveiled in front of the Hollywood Experience Store at 6906 Hollywood Blvd. at 11:30 a.m.

DeVito is best known for his role as Louie De Palma in Taxi. TV Guide readers named that character one of "TV's 50 Greatest Characters Ever." (You can watch some classic clips from Taxi above.)

In addition to starring on televison, DeVito has also played iconic roles in films, playing characters in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The War of the Roses, L.A. Confidential, Twins, Batman Returns and Be Cool. He was also a producer of the films Erin Brockovich and Pulp Fiction.

Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Leron Gubler will emcee the event.
